I went on vacation…had a blast. I have ton a pictures, but still have to go through them, so no pictures today. But what I did do on vacation, that I am sharing with you today, I did swaps with tags so I am going to share those tags with you today and how I made them.
The trip was part vacation and part retreat with Laura Denison with Following the Paper Trail. During the retreat we all had a trade night were we made swaps to trade with groups. I did two tag trades. I received about 20 plus tags but haven’t taken any pictures so I will do that to and share them with you.
I’m behind on everything, but I’m moving back on schedule, sort of.
Time for tags!

NEXT TAG
HELLO FRIEND – BIRD TAG
This is inked using Peacock Feathers and Brushed Pewter stain and some spritz of water. The stencil is Tim Holtz Gothic Stencil using either Hickory Smoke Distress Ink or Iced Spruce.
Dies used: Spellbinders – Petite Monarch; Memory Box – Who Let the Birds Out; Poppy dies – Regal Crowns and Vintage Key Set. Stamp: Tim Holtz Sayings “Hello friend”
I painted with metallic paint: Gold, Silver and Copper
When attaching the monarch piece, I left the center part unattached to slide the bird cage under it.
I used a foam square to pop up the bottom of my bird cage and glued the sides.
Well that is it for now. I will be going through my pictures this weekend and all my swaps to take pictures of to share. So I will probably do a post soon about my fabulous vacation.
Beautiful tags Melissa, can't wait to see the tags you received in trade for these beauties, thanks for the step by step!
