Next, I used two stencils. One for the front of the tag and one for the back of the tag. The Layered Stencils: Monoprint technique was used for both stencils as well as the same colors as I used for the background.
Score 1 3/4″ from the bottom and fold on score line to make a pocket.
I used Tim Holtz Butterfly Duo die with textfade and and Tim Holtz Trellis die. Which I inked using the same colors.
Next I used Tarnish Brass Distress Spray Stain.
I used Alcohol Ink – Gold Mixative on a small star.
Then put it all together and added some washi tape.
I made a small 2 x 3″ tag for inside the pocket. Inked it with Wild Honey and Seedless Preserves. Then added a star stamp with Peacock Feathers ink. Lastly, I add a phrase.
This was the final challenge in this series. I do plan on doing the next series where ever Tim comes out with the next book.
This makes me smile! LOVE LOVE LOVE the colors, the sentiments, the butterfly, and that pocket with mini tag! Given to anyone, they would love it and be inspired! Thank you so much for joining in our last challenge at CC3C!!!
Beautiful pocket tag, Melissa. Your art is wonderful and I'm sad that you were not able to join in on more challenges! 🙂 I love the colors you've chosen here on your background. The spritz and flick technique works well with the monoprint technique. I like your choice of stencils and colors to use on that, too! Your finished tag with the Ideaology Tissue Tape, embossed butterfly, die cuts and tag is really sweet. Thanks so much for sharing your talent with us at CC3C. <3 Candy
Your pocket tag is so cute!!1 Love the colors!! Way clever!
A tag in a tag! How fun! Love your happy colors, and the addition of the Tarnished Brass DP was the perfect touch. Thanks for joining us again in the CC3 Challenge. Sad it's over.
Wonderful Melissa, love your tag within a tag!
What a clever tag! Love that little pocket. The stencils you chose were really effective with this technique, especially the strip. It gave a really interesting mono print. Excellent job! Thanks for sharing your art with CC3C!!
How beautiful! Love all the pocket and all colors you've used plus that fab butterfly is a crowning touch. Thanks so much for sharing with us at CC3C!
