On today’s Graphic 45 Blog, my Fairy “Make A Wish” Cards:
I made some 4 x 5½” Birthday cards using Graphic 45’s Fairy Wing Journaling and Ephemera Cards. I fussy cut the flowers and fairies from the Journaling Cards and then created soft backgrounds to attach them to. These cards turned out adorable, but I had some help with the Magic Iris die from Lawn Fawn. Below are steps to show how I fussy cut the cards and created these soft backgrounds.
The Fairy Wing collection makes some magical cards.
The “Make a Wish” center is stamped and then I used white embossing powder. The stamp set is from Lawn Fawn Upon a Star
FUSSY CUTTING
You can see by the pictures that I choose my Journaling cards and cut out the flowers and fairies.
BACKGROUND
I used Tim Holtz Distress Oxides: Speckled Egg, Picked Raspberry and Shabby Shutter. I inked the entire card. Then I took the same ink on my craft mat, added water and used a paint brush to add splatters onto the card.
Once the background is complete, I added my flowers and fairies, and then assembled my cards.
I hope this inspires you to make your own magical fairy cards.
Loved the card! Don’t understand how the moving parts were designed. Is there a template somewhere? I’d look it up, but not sure what it’s called! Thanks!
