It is always fun to level up a favorite project.  It’s a good way to try something new or add something extra special.  It’s time for me to share my #ClubG45Leveled Up project with you.  I used Vol. 2 – 2021 Interactive Slimline Card Set designed by the wonderful Ginger Ropp as a starting point.  I leveled this card set up by making it a pop-up card with a special sentiment on the inside using Graphic 45’s sentiment die set.  I have added directions below on how to make these slimline cards into pop-up cards.

INTERACTIVE SLIMLINE CARDS

Here is the material list:

8 x 8” Graphic 45 Bird Watcher
Kraft cardstock
G45 Bird Watcher Chipboard
G45 Bird Watcher Stickers
G45 Metal Charm Clips

Optional:

Vintage Photo Distress Oxide
Scallop edge punch

DIRECTIONS

Start with the Card Base 8¼ x 7” and score 3½” on the 7” side. Set aside.

The insert is 8 x 3½”, draw a line at 1¾” on the 3½” side.

Draw a line at 3½ and 4½” on the 8” side.

On the 3½ and 4½” lines, draw lines across at ¾” down and 2¼” down.

Cut from the ¾” line down to the 2¼” line on both the 3½ and 4½” parallel lines.

Score at 1¾” on the 3½” side.  Then score from 3½ to 4½” lines at ¾”, 1¼” and 2¼”

Fold in half and have the inside pop-up fold inwards.

For the inside pop-up pieces, I have a kraft piece 4¼ x 2½”. Out of pattern paper, I have 4 x 2¼” and (2) 8 x 1” strips. I cut the “Happy Birthday” from kraft and it is from a Graphic 45 Sentiment die.

I punched a scallop edge on both pieces on opposite sides.

Attach the strips to the insert. Add tape to the pop-up piece in the center and attach the sentiment piece.

Attach the insert to the inside center of the card.

For the front of the card I followed the project sheet Vol 2. – 2021 Interactive Slimline Card Set. That sheet can be found on Graphic 45’s Website under “Inspiration” tab, “Project Sheets” or click HERE.

For the kraft pieces, mainly used for a background to my main cut out pieces, I cut the piece ¼” larger than the cut out piece.

And of course, I couldn’t just make one.

I hope you add a little pop-up to your next card.

I want to give a big thank you to Ginger Ropp for designing the Interactive Slimline Card set, she always makes the best project.

Happy Crafting!
Melissa Taylor (Merritt)
