Who likes Mini Albums as much as I do?  What about not so mini, Mini Albums?  I have created a rather large mini album, it is 10 x 12” in size and uses folders as a base page and then built up with flaps, pockets and tags.  The folders I used are called, “Divide-It-Up” and you can get them from any office supply store.  For this project, I used Graphic 45’s 12 x 12” Fruit & Flora Collection Pack along with the 12 x 12” Patterns & Solids and Die Cut Assortment.

Tip: For tags, don’t be afraid to play around with the paper instead of doing a full mat.  Here you can see I trimmed the paper to make a design or added a photo mat and some strips of pattern paper.

I created a little pull tab for these flaps for the front of the folder.

TIP: The medallion embellishment I used throughout the album is actually 4 corners grouped together.  The corner die is from Graphic 45 Policy and Decorative Die Set.  This embellishment can be added to almost any project.

I made a couple of interactive tags inside the pockets of the folder.

Tip: Besides using corners to make medallions, you can just use them as a decorative piece.

Here I created a double belly band to hold 2 tags instead of one large tag.  To make a double belly band, just add a strip of paper to the center of the belly band and attach it down to the page.

Folders that I used can be purchased at any office supply store or online through Amazon or Walmart.

This is remarkable!!! I made the Birdsong album, the one with the tassels on it. It was beautiful but I had a hard time reproducing it without directions. I am a beginner, and I didn’t realize there was magnet’s that help the flaps stay together. This is a very interesting experience and I love these albums so I can’t thank you enough for sharing some of your knowledge of how to create these beautiful works of art so that I will have better knowledge and understanding of how to assemble such a beautiful album!! I also find these file albums amazing!!!
