If you saw my audition post for Graphic 45 (which I didn’t make, but I won’t give up) you have seen these Window Shadow Boxes.  This post has more details about the shadow boxes and the mini album inside.  There is no tutorial for the Shadow Boxes, but I will go over some detail and you can watch the video for details as well.  There is a tutorial for the Box In A Box Mini Album, which is up right now under the “Tutorial” tab.
These shadow boxes are really fun to decorate and you can hang them on the wall as they come with hardware to hang them.  You should definitely try it out.

First up….

HAPPINESS IS HOMEMADE SHADOW BOX
Graphic 45 Home Sweet Home
The Center compartment (above) is the Box In A Box mini album, more pictures below.

The left compartment has the laundry lady fussy cut from the papers with a rope added to it.  Behind her is a chicken wire which is a Cheery Lynn die.  The right compartment also uses the Chicken Wire die.  The chickens are fussy cut from the papers.  The Chicken Coup is 4″ tall and 1″ wide.  The roof is 1 1/2″ wide.  There is a ramp (which you can see better in the video) that is 3″ long and 1″ wide.
The above pictures shows the 1st box open all the way.  The below picture shows the 2nd box open.

The tutorial for the Mini Album is designed off of the Precious Memories box and not the Home Sweet Home box, there are only some small modifications to it.

The doilies on the windows, doors and corners is the Eyelet Scallop Doily Prima Die.  The doors are made from lightweight chipboard and are 4 1/4 x 4 1/4″.  The door knobs are Tim Holtz hitch posts. The video shows how I made the hinges on the doors.  I used velcro for the doors to stay shut.

The flowers on the front covers are from Heartfelt Creations, Botanical Rose Stamps and Botanical Wing die.  The flowers I stamped using white embossing powder.
Above pictures shows the 1st box open with the pages all the way open.
The above picture shows the 2nd box open, showing the front of the pages and the below pictures shows the backside of the pages.
The video has a bit more details in it than my pictures shows.

I hope you enjoyed my projects and video.
