Before I get to this current challenge, a couple of weeks ago I did my first Compendium of Curiosities Challenge with Eroded Metallic and posted my Eroded Metallic Tag.  I’m super excited that they choose me as the winner of that challenge.  WooHoo.  I also got a badge, which I have already placed on my blog and you can see it on the left side.

Here is my tag if you missed it.

NOW for Tim Holtz Compendium of Curiosity Volume III – Challenge 30, Faux Cracked Glass.

The sponsor for this challenge is The Funkie Junkie Boutique who is giving away a $25.00 shopping spree.

I really enjoyed my first challenge so of course I had to jump in again with this challenge.  To view this challenge, go HERE.  There are a few rules but if you are interest just go visit Linda Ledbetter’s website for all the details. You must own your own copy of A Compendium of Curiosity Volume III to participate.

For this challenge I did a Lantern painted patina style and used the Faux Cracked Glass technique on the glass sides.

The paint job is a technique I learned from Donna Dewberry with Plaid (the makers of Mod Podge), just click on her name will take you to her YouTube video.

The paint I used is Folkart Home Decor Chalk Paint: Cascade, Salmon Coral and Java.  I also used FolkArt Copper Metallic
